Vita
Anna graduated in bioprocess engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2013 with a Master's Degree in Engineering ("Diplom-Ingenieur"). After she completed a research project on protein production at the Charité in Berlin, she focused her studies on downstream processing, with particular interest in process modeling of ion-exchange chromatographies which became the research project of her diploma thesis.
Anna broadened her engineering expertise as a visiting scientist at the University of Vienna and gathered deeper insights into the commercialization of research and development during a number of stages. Following an IP class during her studies, Anna started her career in the IP business in a renowned Berlin law firm. After graduating she worked as a technology consultant on IT projects for fostering research and development in a globally operating pharmaceutical company.
In 2015, she started as a patent engineer in a Munich law firm and qualified as a German patent attorney in 2019 and as a European patent attorney in 2021. She is also registered as a European trade mark and design attorney at the EUIPO. Anna joined Klunker IP in 2019 and was appointed partner in 2023.
Anna lives in Munich with her husband and her son. Besides family life she enjoys both living in the city and spending time in nature for relaxation and hiking. Growing up in the Frankfurt area, Anna enjoys exploring the closer surroundings around Munich as well as travelling to Austria and Italy.

Anna has extensive experience with patent prosecution in foreign jurisdictions around the world, particularly in Asia and the United States.

In addition to patents, Anna is also active in trademark law and assists her clients in monitoring competitors.
Anna's technical expertise includes medical technologies, general mechanics, automotive engineering, railway vehicles, security elements and process engineering.
