How can and should you use the patent literature for your own Patent Application? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innovations very often arise from the intention to satisfy a previously unfulfilled need. However, it is not uncommon for something new to arise from the need for an alternative to a successful competitor&#8217;s product. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whatever the trigger for a development may be, no progress can be made without a brilliant idea. Suggestions from outside are also important. These can come from feedback from customers or suppliers. A critical comparison with what already exists is also enriching.<br\/>Developers primarily consider products that are already on the market to be state of the art. In contrast, the rich source of patent literature is often neglected. This is primarily due to the fact that this body of literature is almost unmanageable and tedious to read. Moreover, it is often just ideas. Their feasibility has not been proven.<br\/>However, anyone looking to protect the result of their development must familiarize themselves with the patent literature.
